Ariat is continuing its partnership with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) by making a $100,000 contribution and encouraging customers to round up their purchases as donations until November 30. Founded by former NFL defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jared Allen, JAH4WW builds mortgage-free custom homes for combat-wounded veterans. Ariat has supported the foundation for the past ten years, deepening its commitment with this latest contribution and a call to action for its customers.
Building Homes, Restoring Independence
JAH4WW, founded by former NFL player Jared Allen, has been constructing custom homes for veterans’ unique needs for over 15 years. Inspired by a 2009 USO tour, Allen witnessed the challenges wounded veterans face when returning to homes no longer suited to their needs. The foundation’s mission is to provide mortgage-free, custom-built homes that accommodate these challenges.
Allen explained why the work matters: “For the veterans we serve, the right home can give them back a level of independence that most of us take for granted. Partners like Ariat understand that supporting veterans is about showing up and taking action. Their support helps us build homes around the individual needs of these men and women and also gives them and their families the freedom to focus on what comes next. They fought for our freedom. We’re just trying to give them back theirs.”
A Life-Changing Impact
Marine Corps veteran Josh Wege, who lost both legs in an IED strike in Afghanistan, shared how the program transformed his life. “This home has given me and my family a level of freedom and independence that’s hard to put into words,” Wege said. “It was built around how we live our lives, and that makes a difference every single day.” Wege’s story highlights the profound impact of JAH4WW’s work, illustrating how a tailored home can redefine what’s possible for wounded veterans.
