Honda has launched a new line of 58V battery-powered tools aimed at professional landscapers, expanding its commercial-grade OPE (Outdoor Power Equipment) portfolio.
After ending production of gas-powered mowers in 2023, Honda introduced several cordless models in 2026. The latest rollout adds four more devices to the same voltage platform, with availability slated for spring 2027.
The lineup includes the HBBX7550 backpack blower, HHCX1650 chainsaw, HHTX1750 string trimmer and HHHX2650 hedge trimmer, each paired with a range of battery sizes.
Backpack blower and chainsaw specifications
The HBBX7550 backpack blower delivers up to 750 CFM and 200 MPH air speed, generating roughly 33 N of force. With two 12.0 Ah batteries, the unit can run 35 minutes on high, 70 minutes on medium and up to 10 hours on the lowest setting.
Weighing 21 lb without batteries and 38.8 lb with the dual-battery pack, the blower features a padded harness, cruise control, and a telescoping nozzle. It is priced at $699 bare or $1,379 for the kit that includes the batteries and a rapid charger.
The HHCX1650 chainsaw sports a 16-inch bar and chain, offering a 14-inch cutting capacity. Honda rates its performance comparable to a 50 cc gas engine, with chain speeds up to 26 m/s.
When equipped with a 5.0 Ah battery, the saw provides about 33 minutes of maximum-speed operation, enough for roughly 20 cuts on a 10-inch log. Safety features include metal bucking spikes, a kickback brake and a lock-off trigger. The unit weighs 9.5 lb bare, 14.1 lb with the battery, and costs $419 bare or $829 for the complete kit.
The move toward fully electric professional tools mirrors a broader industry shift driven by tighter emissions rules and customer demand for quieter, low-maintenance equipment.
String trimmer and hedge trimmer details
The HHTX1750 string trimmer offers a 17-inch cutting width and a brushless motor that reaches 5,700 RPM. Rated at 1,200 W, it aligns with the output of a typical 26 cc gas trimmer.
Running on a 4.0 Ah battery, the trimmer provides up to 45 minutes in Eco mode and 25 minutes in Normal mode. It weighs 11 lb without a battery and 14.6 lb with the pack, and is priced at $409 bare or $549 for the kit with a 4.0Ah battery and standard charger.
The HHHX2650 hedge trimmer features a 26-inch cutting length and cuts up to 1 1/3-inch in diameter. It operates in Normal and Eco modes. With a 2.5 Ah battery, Honda estimates 65 minutes of runtime in Normal mode and 100 minutes in Eco mode. The tool includes an aluminum blade support and an IPX4 weather rating. It weighs 9.5 lb bare and 12.3 lb when the battery is attached.
Battery ecosystem and charging flexibility
Operators will find that the new handheld lineup shares a common battery family with the earlier cordless mowers, enabling interchangeable packs across job sites.
Battery options range from compact units suited for short bursts to larger packs designed for extended operation, giving crews the ability to match power to task length.
Charging stations feature a dual-port rapid charger, allowing two batteries to be replenished simultaneously, which reduces downtime during busy workdays.
Design focus and operational safety
Ergonomic considerations include padded harnesses, adjustable handles, and weight distribution features that aim to lessen operator fatigue during prolonged use.
Pricing structures are offered both as standalone units and as complete kits that include batteries and chargers, providing flexibility for different budgeting approaches.
